The Miniature Locomotives of Cavid Curwen by Lawson Little with David Holroyde.
Anyone with even a passing interest in the miniature railway scene will probably be familiar with the name David Curwen. Born in 1913, he had an active loco-building career spanning more than half a century. David can quite rightly be regarded as the doyen of the miniature railway world. This monograph includes details and photos of every one of David's larger locomotives.

The History of Cromar White Ltd, Miniature Railway Engineers by Roland White
The original Cromar White Company was established in 1946 and manufactured a range of products from stacking trays for a jam factory to commercial vehicle bodies! Manufacture of miniature railway equipment commenced in 1962. As well as the fascinating history of this business the book also contains lots of useful information regarding the planning and installation of miniature railways. Many black & white prints. Includes locomotive list of 1962 to 1977.

Louis Shaw - Pioneer of the 7¼ inch gauge by P.James
Louis Shaw is considered by many to be a true pioneer of the 7¼ inch gauge. He is one of only four Britsh model engineers khonw to hame used the gauge prior to 1914 and operated a railway in a public park from 1915. Between 1910 and 1953 Louis designed and built at least seven 7¼ inch gauge locos including Bonnie Dundee at Kerr's MR and Lorna Doone at Hilton VR.

Miniature World of Henry Greenly by E.A. Steel and E.H. Steel.
Born in 1876, Henry Greenly formed the nucleus of a small group of men who were responsible the development of miniature railways in Great Britain and Europe at the end of the nineteenth century. His most impressive work was the construction of the 15 inch gauge Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway in Kent.

HCS Bullock - His Life and Locomotives by Kenneth A Bullock
Bullock designed, constructed or re-constructed no less than seventeen 10¼ inch gauge steam locos in the depression years of the 1930s. These included locomotives for the now legendary, Surrey Border & Camberley Railway. Most of his locos still survive today.
