Liliputbahnen - English Edition by Walter Strauss
The German edition was originally published in 1938. This english edition was published by Robin Butterell in 1988. The translation by Robin Caseley. It was available in paperback ISBN 0 9514796 1 X or hardbound ISBN 0 9514796 0 1.
One of several volumes on railways, Strauss deals in this volume with miniature railways, his subject matter being almost entirely English miniature railways from 2.5 inch gage up to 18 inch gauge. Those German railways included feature 15 inch gauge. Also feature are manned model ships from Germany.
The hardback edition does not have a dust cover. It is bound in green fabric with gold blocking. Size: 220 x 303 mm, 312 pages, 362 B&W images. Only a limited number was printed and each is numbered.

Steve features everything you need to know about building miniature railroads, US style. As well as locomotive and rolling stock, there are sections on track, switch, bridge, tunnel and signal construction. The writer's own railway, The Tipsico Lakeshore is also featured plus a chapter on Walt Disney.
